  1. With the deep temp Coyote K and my boat did the double team out deep .

We put down in 300 and headed north .

Immediately marked bait and fish , an OK screen . .

I had a rod fire quick and lost a nice salmon at the back of the boat so we stayed in n the area . Best was 275 to 350 , 85 to 100 down .

I went 2 for 7 , both matures . Coyote K for got a few more I think   . All our hits were on Flashers . That's all I ran.

South wind is pushing warm water out . Temp is coming up .

  2. What are you guys talking about ? Color definitely maters .

My favorites are my favorites because the fish hit them and they are proven . Not because I like how they look .

I make a point to run different color spoons of the same model . And they still hit my favorites .

Some days it doesn't matter , they hit anything that moves . Most days they are pickey .

And that goes for my soft plastics for Bass and panfish.

  3. Lake was nice so I went out.

Started in 90 ft . Temp was at 50 . My screen was looking crazy like there was a lot of interference . No boats around. Headed north out to 280 .

Screen cleared up around 220 . I don't know what it was . And temp went deeper to 75 80 .

I went 3 for 5 . Got and 11 #  5 oz steelhead a Skipper and a little bigger than a skipper . Lost a nice fish on a slide diver . All spoons . Found a pod of fish and bait around 240 where I got 4 hits .

  4. I had an X4 for a few years and liked it . Although it started to send crazy temps once in a while . Then I sold the boat with it . But I liked it .it had both surface and down speed and temp .

Bought a new to me boat and it came with a Cannon Speed and Temp . Depth Raider technology . I liked it but it started to not work intermittent.

After some research, I  bought a Depth Raider this June . It has worked flawless since I got it . Other than the fact at 85 ft of cable some of the insulation came off the cable maybe rubbing in itself.  A few coats of Liquid electrical tape and it is fine.

549$ compared to 1400$ . And the probe is a lot less than the X4D probe .

If money no object , maybe the X4D . But my depth Raider tells me everything I need to know . Down speed and temp . I don't need blue tooth or how deep my ball is actually running . That's kind of irrelevant to me .

  5. When I'm fishing Stagers , I run 2 j plugs . If a rod fires I know it's a king ,  I grab the other one , pop it , and reel it in as fast as I can while I put the boat in nutural or turn it down wind and put it in nutural. I can boat the fish in 5 min that way . Sometimes I chase them down . I have gotten a few doubles as both rods went off within seconds of each other . Not real fun . 1 at a time please .

I go out at first light . My personal best is 8 kings boated by 830 or so . Landed 6 or 7 many times . And got skunked more than once.

  6. It depends

Last few trips temp was deep at 100 so flasher on my probe rigger and 2 spoons  stacked on the other rigger or 1 flasher each rigger

If the temps 75 ft to 50 ft ,  1 line  on each rigger and #5 Chinook diver . .

40 to 60ft temp  1 spoon each rigger , And slide diver

Staging kings 1 j plug each rigger .

I prefer just riggers if possible . Better maneuvering and easier  all around .

    And easier to net fish

  7. It wasn't that bad

On the other hand this morning wasn't great .

Was almost no wind on shore . So I figured I'd give it a go . The farther I went out , the worse it got with the North west wind . Made one pass at 120 . I ran go for broke 2 flashers only .  Same Bullfrog went off at 100 . Bait head skld up leader no fish and that was it .

One boat was next to me and I think he hooked one but I could not tell .

  8. After my guy cancelled I went out Solo to beat the wind and rain .

Found a good screen 120 to 150  and worked it .

Temp was way down . 55 deg at 115 ft of cable

I went 3 for 5 . All good kings landed . Best was a 18# king .Deepest hit was 125 ft.

3 shots on a Bullfrog Glo 11" flasher and Gary D rig  . That's been my best flasher this year . It's usually white but they won't hit it . Also got a double on 2 stacked spoons , A Carbon , and Glo Frog .

It was lonely out there this morning , nobody's lines to cut off

  9. According to the " experts " the world was supposed to burst into flames by now .

Hey , now that I think about , maybe it has . And we are all dead and we are in hell . The way the country is now , it sure seems like it .

  10. As for me , unfortunately, I did not cut anyone off either. But next time I will make a concerted effort and try harder .

I did have a few boats bearing down on me and make me turn off . I'm thinking about having a paint ball gun onboard and firing a few rounds on those that need it .

It sure would add to the fun 😊 😊

  11. I was out solo

First light ,80 ft hit on a big bullfrog flasher rips out some line and gone . Put it back down 20 min later release and nothing . Trolled around for a while and got pushed out  so I decided to head north . carbon goes , rod bounces a bit and gone , put it back down 5 min later 18# king

And  a Skippy on a Glo frog slide diver .

He Gator , did you cut anyone off this week ? 🤣

Went out for a quick evening trip after waiting on the lake to settle down. Fished 80 to 210 fow. Only saw bait in 185 and 195 fow down 60 to 90. Fished 630 till dark and only ended up with one small king on a mag green glow alwive spoon. Anyone else have better luck than us today/ tonight?

    I got 2 small fish in 80 to 110
