  1. I have a total of six Accudepth Plus Reels for sale. All are right hand retrieve, used, and show some wear and tear. All have line on them, but truth be told, I can't recall what size for sure. I believe it is 15lb Berkley XT. Three of them are model 47LC. All the 47s and are in good working order. The other three are model 27LC. Two of those are ready to go. One is missing the handle and has some fogging in the line display. One of the working 27s has a slight bend in the handle but it doesn't seem to affect the performance. I replaced them with my preference, left hand retrieve... yea, I'm one of those guys. LOL. I live in eastern PA and come up to the lake a couple of times a year so we may be able to work out a meet but I'm also happy to ship them. Is anyone interested in them at $70 for all 6, shipping included? Reach me here or at [email protected] Thanks
  2. Like a lot of people I've been organizing my stuff. In doing so I found I have way more planer boards that I need, so these are up for sale. These are from Opti Tackle. I think they sell for about $25 new. I have 5 of them, 3 right side and 2 left side. These boards came with rear clips that I wasn't crazy about. I changed them out with ones that have the little peg in the middle, if you put the line behind the peg, it keeps the board from coming off the line (see picture below). These boards pull nicely and the tattle flags all work. I get a discount with UPS through my employer so I'm asking $70 shipped to your door. Would prefer PayPal but I'm flexible. Thanks for looking.
  3. Well done. But I hope to be there on Sat. Please leave a few in the lake. LOL...
  4. I would definitely recommend boards, especially in shallow water so you can lines away from the boat. Off Shore Tackle makes the best ones but they are pricey. I have a couple of those and I have some Opti Boards as well. Opti's are a lot less expensive and include the Tattle Flag. With Off Shore you have to buy the Tattle Flag kit separately. I don't see any difference in how they run in the water. The only issue I have with the Opti's is the line clips they use. I'm not crazy about them. The Off Shore Line clips are much better. You get what you pay for.
  5. Hi cmc Most of mine and my partners spoons are Michigan Stingers so they would have been the majority of what we put in the water. Fishing spoons in that shallow of water we typically use clip on weights with the boards. My partner likes dipsey divers and I prefer tad poles so we would have used a mix of those but not on the boards. If it helps t know, we were trolling around 1.4 or 1.5. I know a lot of guys say 1.5 and up for Spring Browns and it looked like everyone was going faster than us but we were catching fish and both believe in the old football adage "run it till they stop it" so we didn't change. Good luck!
  6. Last April we started out trolling a mix of hard baits and spoons. After a few fish were in the boat it was clear spoons were the way to go. We were trolling in less than 20 FOW and caught them on a couple of different color combinations but I can't recall which ones. (I really have to start keeping a log) I do recall we felt like flash was more important than color.
  7. Hi all, I have a 13 3/4 X 17 prop manufactured by Michigan Wheel. It's for a Yamaha outboard. As near as I can figure, it should fit most of the larger Yamahas made between 2006 and 2016; not sure about the latest model years. If you're worried about fit I'll gladly let you fit it before we finalize the sale. I rolled the dice and bought it to try to fix a listing problem, but it didn't help so I'm trying to get a few bucks ($50) back out of it. It was on the boat for about an hour so when I say "like new" I really mean it. It retailed for about $100 (pic of invoice included) I live in Easton PA (Eastern part of the state) but travel to upstate NY often. I'll be heading up again on the day after Thanksgiving to go hunting so we may be able to meet around that time. Due to weight I'd like to try to avoid shipping it but I'm sure we can work something out if someone is interested. Thanks Frank
  8. It is hard to believe and disappointing but not surprising. I have no idea how any local bait and tackle shop survives in the age of online shopping. Very sad.
  9. I guess that means some are still in close. Thanks for the info.
  10. That is a nice fish. I know you said you were fishing walleyes but what were you pulling? How deep? Etc?

  17. Hi everyone, I have a nice set of rod holders for sale. They are Berts risers with Atwood holders. I used them for a couple of seasons so they have a few scratches here and there, normal wear. They are in very good shape. There are a total of 6. The risers are 10 inch, 6 inch, and 2 inch. The holders are all identical. These will fit any 3 inch track system and will come with the thumb screws in the pictures. The varying heights, up/down angle adjustments, and ability to rotate in the riser make these holders very versatile. They also have the ring that closes over the rod for when you run from place to place. Cabela's sells the Atwood holders for $29 and the Berts 6 inch riser for $19. That would work out to about $280 for the full set new. I am asking $150 $110 and will include UPS Ground Shipping anywhere in the Continental US. I will take check or PayPal. If you are local and we meet up I would accept cash. If you reach out during the work day please be patient. I can't always look at my phone or be on-line at work but will get back to you as quickly as I can. I'm not getting any interest in the full set so I guess the price is a little too high. Price now reduced to $110 including shipping.
  18. Thanks for all the ideas, I'll be trying them next time out. Hopefully next weekend. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. We were using 17lbs mono with 20lbs fluro leaders and it was bad, I can imagine lead core becoming unusable. We were being kinda lazy and not checking lines as often as we should have, lesson learned! Thanks ! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. My friend and I had are first experience with fleas recently on Lake Ontario. I had read about what a nuisance they are but untill your picking them off your line you really dont appreciate just how annoying they are. Does anyone have any tips for preventing them from building up on your line or removing them once they're on? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Hi Fat Trout I do have a 9.9 kicker on the port side. The main motor is a 115. The starter battery is on the same side as the kicker. The other two batteries are in the middle front compartment in the floor. My first thought was a weight problem but when im alone in the boat (275lbs) in the drivers seat the list still occurs, not as bad, but its still there. Same results with 3 people on the boat and the 3rd person behind the driver. When the boat is at rest there is no noticeable lean. For anyone else interested... I spoke to the rep from Starcraft again today. They will not pay for traditional trim tabs. They still say to bend the fixed tab on the port side down. I expected more from Starcraft. Im becoming very disappointed. Once again, my thanks to all of you who took the time to offer your advice. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Sold... I really appreciate the info, thanks! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Those look ones i saw online that only stick out about 4 inches . Did you have to do anything to the the kicker motor to avoid it hitting the tab on that side? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Hi Sea-IV I have a Starweld 18 Pro with the same listing issue. At Starcrafts direction, the dealer installed fixed trim tabs that are supposed to fix the issue, but alas, they did not. The tabs they installed are about 9 inches wide and maybe 2 inches deep. In other words, the tab extends only 2 inches back. In our latest calls to Starcraft the dealer and I were both told the same thing. They suggest we bend the tab on the port side down 2 or 3 degrees. The rep I spoke to actually said I should put a vice grip on it and bend it down. I can't imagine that being good for the screws into the transom. I'm still trying to figure out what to do next. I'll be interested in what results you get and would appreciate it if you would post them. Good luck !
