  1. I love it.  I could watch them all day.  Seems like that creek could use a healthy dose of stream improvement gravel and current break boulders.  It looks really silted-in.

Thanks for the feedback and I do agree with you. Needs some improvements to the fish ladder to make it easier for the fish to make it upstream to the prime spawning grounds.

  2. Very Nice king, did you get a weight on that fish ? I have fished  off bluffers park , Port Credit, and Bronte, there are big fish out there.

Honestly I didn’t want to keep it but my buddy wanted it. We weight it and it read 25lb. Got it just outside of the Islands. If you want to see the video, I posted on my YouTube channel.

Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for the comment.

  3. how about some facts like where and how many FOW

Since it was a picture forum, I just wanted to post the picture. I was fishing on North Shore Lake Ontario straight out of Toronto. I caught him on a green spoon with black dots, trolling 100 fow down 60 feet. That was on Saturday morning.

  4. Trolled west out of the mouth at 6am but six running spoon and 4” rapala. Caught 2 browns in the i line planer with blk and gold rapala and lost one more big fish on the same set up. Then boated my biggest brown to date! 13-4! He came on a dipsy down 12 feet with a silver uv stinger. After 7am didn’t move a rod. Tried everything, bumped out farther then back in changed the presentation and quit around 9. But a great (but chilly) morning on the water for sure! 5. I’m not an expert on this, as far as I know, the South Shore of Lake O gets a good amount of browns and chinnies come in close to shore, usually March and well into April to feed on the smelt. From Fifty Point and all the way into the US side, you can catch them from shore and from boat 10-40 fow. Water temps are key, they usually come in as the water temps warm up and leave once they become too warm later in April. Good luck out there.

  6. mark was an awesome individual.  Had an incredible sense of humor.
as bad as it was back then, its not that much better now.  Weapon of choice now is a fly rod.  Oak isnt worth visiting till after Thanksgiving for me.

For sure. I’m the same way, I usually wait until November to start fishing Burt and Oak. Much quieter.
