No.  K15 need really slow speeds (less than 1.8 or they spin out).  Dreamweavers are a heavier blank spoon and need more speed.

Okay, thank you. I'm still new too trolling. 2-2.5 for Dreamweaver ? I could actually run sticks or spinners with kwikfish speed ?

  2. Yeah, I wouldn't do it. You'll fix the cheater with a rubber band ... the idea is the band will snap with a fish bite, and that cheater will slide all the way down to the flasher ... which will roll your line into a tangled mess.

Rather used a stacked rod, or stick with cheater line on a clean spoon line.
I'm new to trolling, just learning. Is a stacked rod similar to a Seth Green rig ?

  3. I know it's late in the season but we finally got brave enough to try Ontario instead of the finger lakes. First trip out we hooked up in first 15 mins and lost it shortly after. Haven't had a bite since. Fished out of sodus point between 50 and 120 fow marking fish but not takers. Any tips would be great to put some fish out of Ontario in the boat.

I'm new to trolling, just bought my first set of spin doc's and flies. Fishing Canandaigua to Hemlock. Question: Does anything change depth wise or location pre/post lake flip ? That might help determine a starting point. Sorry, cant help ya with Sodus area, but seeing reports to the west of fish taken in 20 fow

  4. I'll be fishing western FL Canandaigua to Hemlock. Running 4" dipsys with spin doctors & a tom miks. My questions have more to do with pre and post lake flip, will that change troll depths or areas I should target ?

Remember I'm targeting bows, browns and Lakers. With the thermocline higher, I'm not sure how to form a gameplan/starting point. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also is there anything that determines whether a fly or spoon is better ?
