What are you going to be pulling? Tx44 is only good for 200-300 coppers and 10 colors of core. Unless your using heavy drop weights, they don't pull very well with clean lines

Yep, they don't pull well empty, but we've run 400--500' coppers off them too without problems. Great boards.

Going to pull slide divers, pro weight system (50/50 method) or deep diving cranks. But if I can use tx-22 for pro weight system 1\2 oz-3 oz wieght and deep divers that would be better. Then I could skip slide divers altogether. What do you think ?

Its for trolling bows/browns in clear water up to 30', and walleye in various water clarity. Finger lakes.

Hi Silver Fox - we setup the banner ads here prior to posting, this is our 5th year now with a small online tackle shop - have really enjoyed the positive feedback, excited customers and of course field-testing.  We do a lot of custom tackle too, if you might want something for your charter business?  Catch you later, thanks again!

I hope so!! I'm not implying he doesn't...and I think that most of us who care about these things love America. We just have different ideas on how to move forward and what's acceptable methods to achieve the results. I'm actually rooting for him, because the alternative is much, much worse. But some of what I'm seeing concerns me. I'm a natural skeptic. I'm also a lifelong Bill's fan. So I'll hold off on drinking the Kool-Aid, wait and see how it all plays out.

Lol...I been bills fan 35 yrs. So being a skeptic I totally understand. Your right, there are many ways to skin a cat. Thanks for reply.

I hear ya Gator!! And if the new government is as F'ed up as the weather we are in serious trouble :shake: Let all pray Trump is the same man voted in that he promised. I just wish the Bullshyt that his cabinet is piping to the media would stop. Not the start off on the right foot most Americans voted for.

In today's news briefing, press secretary stated that employees of the EPA and a couple other agencies were tweeting things on social media, which violates their own policies. Not sure what was tweeted. But its another example of government employees doing improper things. If it goes against department policy than those things need to be stopped.

  5. BREAKING NEWS- Fox Newcast at noon "The Five" just reported that under the Obama administration the justice department blocked federal voting workers from going in and cleaning up invalid voter registrations. Meaning using dead peoples info, illegal immigrants, resident non u.s. citizens and voters registered in 2-3 different states. This may have affected Obamas second election and definitely brought invalid votes into the mix for Clinton. Also there were thousands of invalid registrants exposed in several states prior to election. May or may not be 3 million, but its still fraud. CROOKED POLITICIANS. NO WONDER ITS WELL KNOWN OBAMA DID NOT HAVE FORMAL RELATIONS WITH MANY LAWMAKERS. THATS A FACT.

For anyone that doubts what Trump knows and is capable of doing, I suggest you slow down and watch. Not only is he incredibly wise, but he has surrounded himself with incredibly smart people. Many of those people are working behind the scenes and dont make it in front of the camera. He Is not an insider. Things will be exposed. Like he said, "Its time to drain the swamp". These politicians have abused their power far too long while WE deal with the results. We hear & see many thing. But how much are we not seeing or hearing ? I'm sure its plenty. Dems went behind closed doors in secrecy and pushed thousands of pages into obamcare the night before the vote and shoved it down house and senate throats.  Then lied and said you can choose your doctor, keep your plan, and their will be competition to keep premiums down. Now its imploding on itself. There has to be a replacement. Its not a choice any longer.

I am so glad we have an outsider for president ! Like he said " the power of government will be taken back and given to the people once again"  where it belongs ! The government is not to assert its power down to the people, but to **SERVE** ALL AMERICANS leaving the power and will of this country to its citizens where it belongs. With the people.

That's  the difference between a free society and a dictatorship, socialism, communism.

That's right ! He's gonna shake things up. Has too in order to get spiraling debt under control. Federal hiring freeze was a good move too. Sorry but I think EPA is too big and way too political. It was announced that the federal workers would be dropped by 20%. Things are getting streamlined & overhauled. That might piss some people off, but you can't please everyone. We'll see how it turns out. Don't put the cart before the horse. There are reasons and we will see.

    Thanks for the tip gambler.

It seems like there always something to spend money on.

Moonfish... I thought it was a fastrac but it a normal jointed rebel, 4 1/2 inch (the top lure)

I usually start a mix (GFR, chartreuse, perch, gold/black, green, pink, etc) then adjust as we catch multiples

The bottom lure has always been productive. every time we fish it produces, usually the most .... its a 3 1/2 inch  bomber. They make a 15a but it is not as productive....

Yeah, I have jointeds & couple 15a, but l have shorter stuff too. Was just seeing what length they're hitting. Hey gonna send u pm.

    January troll on the "O"

So we hit the O out of Bear Creek yesterday and trolled the 8' to 10' range and absolutely crushed the browns.  A few cookie cutters but mainly 6lb and better with a nice 12.5lb.  However, equipment failure after equipment failure kept the excitement down.  We lost a monster fish that fought like a king.  It surfaced right after it hit but then screamed taking about 100 feet of line before turning towards the boat then making a ninety and pulling another bunch of line and broke off.  I was sick.  Never saw it but figure it was a big steelie or who knows maybe a king.  Ive never trolled this time of year so I don't know other than trout what is lurking.  Anyway a mix bag of sticks did the trick, clown color being the best that brought all the big ones.  The fog set in and made it a pain in the ... , especially when there was one guy out there not running his lights.  Unbelievable.  Then when he was all done headed to the launch on plane.  Visibility was about 100' at best. So all in all in a great time.  Non stop action.   Can't wait till March.

You echoed my fears exactly. I'm also a Republican and I don't understand what's so appealing about this guy. Because he says crap that other folks don't? Any loudmouth who doesn't mind offending people could do the same.

I don't want a president that I'd be comfortable with having a beer. I want somebody who reflects my values and I feel like we've just stepped back 100 years...except without the need to be polite anymore. I think that it's possible to be strong without being offensive. I wish our Commander in Chief felt the same way.

I've had a boss or 2 that were jerks, but they were pretty friggin good at what they do, and helped the company grow. Plus it helped me toughen up a little. I don't have to get along with everybody, and not everyone's gonna like me. But guaranteed jobs gonna be well done one way or another. Minus the beer...lol

Like him or not Mike.....your an American..you live in the United States..... So he's the President of your ( our) country.... Maybe he's not the person you would like to be president, but he's President none the less. When Obama was elected 2x you didn't see violent protests, people in tears on their knees in the streets, or snowflakes seeking safe zones.... The people nutted up, and had the mentality of "it will only be another 4 years".

President of the United States is pretty much a figure....you think that Trump is sitting at his desk right now with one pinky on the nuke button, and one up in the air while he sips Champaign?

There was a video I saw the other day that showed a bunch of Hollywood actors saying Trump would never be president..... Well how are they liking that crow dinner right now? Same goes for all his naysayers... What if he does do some great things for the economy, or takes control of the immigration issues? What if he does what he says he will ( there is a first time for everything)?

Will he still be "Not my President"?

I'm thinking if this all works out then there will be more Bandwagoners than at a Superbowl party.

My personal opinion is I'm going to wait and see..... People can stomp their feet, shake their fists in the air , cry afoul, or simply just cry..... He's still the President, he's not going anywhere, and that's that.....

Can I just go fishing now? Lol

I'd avoid using line for leader moonfish. I realize it's cheaper but line is designed to be supple and castable, and leader is harder and stiffer making it much more durable. I tried several mainline flourocarbons as leader when I started and had issues with breakoffs. I switched to seaguar on the advice of many on this site and haven't looked back. I now use Seaguar for all my line needs. They have a great thin diameter mono, Senshi, that is excellent for use off boards where gaining some diving depth is helpful. You lose a lot of depth on deep divers if you use line diameters over 10lb(.0134")

Yeah I already have10# seaguar for trolling. I'm getting 14# suffix castable for bass fishing crank, spinners, and 1 oz swimbaits. I mentioned it because they were discussing UV rays and I just happened to see it on a tackle site

Business men are the ones who created lobbyists. They are the ones who rent and buy politicians for their own interest not yours or mine.

And who is bought and sold like a prostitue ? Politicians. Let's face facts. No mater what side of the aisle your on, no matter who or what  people represent,  more than 70% of ALL Americans agree the country is going in the wrong direction.

So electing another politician is going to get real change ? I don't think so. Do what you always do and you get what you always got. America has spoken and its time to move on. Great thing is both you and I can disagree and solve it at the voting booth. Its really sad to see people in complete fear. That's what happens when they believe what their own party tells them. Lies and fear. Propaganda. That's a great winning plan ! A losing effort. Obviously not everyone is fooled.

To get back to Trump. I pray that he will do do whatever you hope he will do. However reality teaches me that a politician never keeps his promises and as far as the politician is concerned, he needed you to vote for him. Now that he has your vote and he is in power, you might as well drop dead until he needs you again to stay in power. I have yet to find a reason why Trump would be any different. I sincerely believe that anybody who wants to become president should not be allowed to do so. Only the ones who are pressured by people to do so and agree reluctantly can be trusted. As for Trump being the best choice, maybe, just maybe he is the lesser of two evils.

He's a self made business man. Not a politician. Not his career.  He isn't tied to lobbyists. That right there makes all the difference. He's going to do it his way. He's wealthy for a reason. Look at politicians, they tax and spend. They must have forgot how to balance a check book. Why do you think jobs have left state & country ? Moron schumer and cuomo wants free college and they can't get high school straightened out. Trump isn't a sell out.

If you respool your reels, use a main line of 17 or 20lb. I then splice in a 10ft piece of flouro ( 12lb for spring, 15# for spoons in the summer). If you decide to run flasher and flies/meat, just cut off the flour leader. It cuts down on the number of rods you need, and tying a new leader is no big deal.
Another thing to remember about fishing line is UV rays can weaken the line. If you leave them out in the sun for days on end the UV rays compromise the integrity of the line....
    Good luck....

fjs5252, Misdemeanor makes a great point about UV rays. Was just getting a shopping list together and was looking at fluoro myself. Suffix castable invisiline apparently is impervious to UV rays. It also is not stiff going on the real which may allow for great action from your stick baits spoons etc. I'm picking it up as a leader. $14 for 150 yds of 14#. I know suufix is very reputable and I'm going to give it a try.

As a combat vet , I can tell you that you literally have Mille seconds to react to a threat. Someone points a pellet gun at you or even a cell phone in the dark. It's him or you. We called it collateral damage. If everyone would obey a lawful order from the police , there would be far fewer "incidents". Innocent people don't run away.

I agree with you 100%. But shooting an unarmed person in the back 8 times in broad daylight when they are running away is unlawful. Especially when you have tools like a k-9, taser, shotgun beanbags, backup. These don't require a milli second decision. They require training. And sometimes not even training is the answer. The only perfect force in the world is God. There will be bad choices made, fortunately they are the 1% and the complete trashing of our entire law enforcement by these liberals is unjustifiable.

Ya know, the dems have ruled over our cities for at least 50 years and things have only gotten worse since. You would think city citizens would abandon the dems by now.

Definition of insanity : Doing same thing over and over again expecting different results.

That is very different from what Charlie P said and I agree with it. The police do have a heavy burden, but they also need to do a lot of soul searching.

Soul searching ?. That's some BS right there. How about training. I have seen police take lives for both legitimate and bad reasons. The bad reasons could have been handled with a taser, non lethal means. There have been quite a few instances where training should have kicked in. But high intensity situations affect people differently. Ask your active military or vets. There are a small % of people that don't respond correctly. These should NOT  represent the other 99% that perform well and put their lives on the line everyday.

"What gosh darn constitutional right does anyone have to riot and loot???" Never said that. It's against the constitution to use our armed forces with in our borders. "The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385, original at 20 Stat. 152) signed on June 18, 1878 by President Rutherford B. Hayes. The purpose of the act – in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807 – is to limit the powers of the federal government in using its military personnel to act as domestic law enforcement personnel.

Well I believe Marshall law has been invoked before. Example: 60's race riots in the south, and Katrina. Let's face it, sometimes things get so out of control or disastrous, that local/state authorities can't respond adequately on their own. And yes feds were sent in both cases I mentioned. There were 20,000 security personnel at inauguration and they did a great job too !
