  1. Oh, it’s not always pretty, that’s for sure! I think about half the time there is only one rod in the water... My autopilot system is slightly glitchy. I’m having trouble finding the software update for a 2x6 piece of pine wedged against the deck!

My autopilot is max friction on a 25 tiller. Funny sh#t. You pray the second rod doesn't fire. Lol . Made my day.

  2. Thanks for checking on me Logger. Pretty rollie on Sunday morning but lake got pretty nice in the evening. Tough fishing, full screens between 135 and 150. Took a few temp probes, seems like they were all hugging bottom in 53 to 60 °. Threw the boat at them. Need a good easterly to bring some cooler water in shore. It'll be fast and furious for sure. Don't know if I'll be up again. 0 for 3 this season. Good luck all, appreciate the laughter.

  3. So would you say the lake “Flipped” after the hard blow last weekend? Temp has been way down and offshore all year pretty much. I Recently got a fish hawk so I’m payin more attention to temps. In other words this weekend I dont have to motor out 15miles.lol. And the fish are gonna b staging up.  Pretty much this is what we needed on the east end all year. Am I almost right???
Almost. But you're forgetting one thing.....lol

  4. I run braid on my dipseys and #3 settings. I struggle with figuring depth that far . Once I get past the usual 1/3rd split say 210 for 70' I get lost. You mentioned 290, what depth do you think you're hitting? I'm assuming 90 +, or do they bottom out closer to 80?

We just go in from 350-450'. Went 5 for 9. Got 3 Kings and 2 Steelhead. 3 fish came 131' down on rigger with white flasher and white fly.
other 2 were 290 out on meat with braid  on dipsy #3 setting.

  5. Now you're talking. She's good for every species you want to target. She didn't let you down. You know my rig. Jack of all trades from salt to salmon. The old mariner is a tank. It's great to see you upgrade to a nice salmon rig, life long dream for me but probably never happen. I'm fortunate to have met a few guys here that are willing to take me along when the lake is too big. But as you well know, there's nothing like the battle of a 30+ king in a small craft. Good luck , keep it tight.
