Really nice boat!! Is it 2 barrel or 4 carb floor appears carpeting?? Did the boat sit during the years with/without antifreeze in exhaust manifolds and block?? How long of a test run did you do?? Thermostat in or not?? Interested in boat.

It's a two barrel carb. Has vinyl floor. It was winterized in 2016 by a marine service shop in Erie and still has the tag on it.. I ran it for about an hour.. Restarted it several times just to make sure all was good.. Sorry about calling it a sport craft.. It was late when I wrote the post... Not sure about thermostat, it did run on the cool side but not super low.

  2. .... Sold.... Located in Madison/Geneva, Ohio I have a Super clean for a 1988 Thompson Fisherman. The old gentleman that owned it donated it to be auctioned and proceeds went to a benefit. He got too old to use it and the marine service did winterization in 2016 and he was not able to use the boat again. I just bought it to resell as I have other boats of my own. I filled the fuel today and put a battery in it, she fired right up and after a light scrub I hit the lake to clear the cob webs out. The boat has a bunch of stuff with it...Mercury 5.0lx V8, alpha one outdrive, kicker motor mount with fuel line, afte-cover, gps fish finder, vhf radio, very new high end windless on the bow. All the electronics gauges etc. work and light up. It comes with a set of triple tree rod holders and a down rigger, a couple of extra rod holders, windshield wiper, am/fm Cd player. This boat is very solid! The floor has no soft spots and the hull seems solid. The trailer is in amazing shape also! No rust! Good Tires, Bunk Trailer with tandem axels and brakes. Based on the limited amount of wear on the floor I would say the boat has very low hours. But has no hour meter. No joy riders..Test drive after full payment. I have video of the motor running today 10/7/18 on lake Erie. I don't really want to store this boat this winter so make me a cash offer I can't refuse! $4900 Ken 440-477-5730 call or text

  3. Twinmotors try using the Walleye boards rather than the TX 44's if using 100-300 coppers. They retrieve easier and run fine  even with a 10 color leadcore. If they dive on you they are easier to retrieve too. I seldom use my TX 44's anymore.

Yes we tried the tx-44 as they are bad news, but I have big planer boards with an Electric mast so all I'm fighting his line and fish it's much better!

  4. I ran up from Geneva Ohio Sunday afternoon on a quick decision to go.. Setting # 2 when #1 rigger went off. 60fow in front of Olcott. Hooked up 7, boated 5, released two, one decent coho, two bigs, one #31lbs my personal biggest! I ran 2.5mph over ground, crushed ice both sides spin Doctors, atomic j&jstud fly. This was all in one hour and 45 minutes.

Then I go out yesterday morning (Monday) on a flat bathtub lake Ontario.. I had three drive by (swing and missed) teeth marks on the spin doctor! I had one mature boated by 10am or so.. I used the Noaah surface temp website to find the coldest water and it was in front of Wilson out by the boarder, do I ran out to the 31N / 55W running the same gear except I put a white twister tail on the backIMG_20170918_203533.jpgIMG_20170918_131706.jpgIMG_20170918_203300.jpg of the fly! Lol it worked. That one caught all three in less than an hour.. I will try to get some pics to upload.. Solo fishing is a hand full on these things! What a blast!

  6. They are an awesome looking boat!.. I have a 196 Starcraft fishmaster. It's my second one as the first burnt in a garage fire... I would buy the same again for the money. I understand that the hulls are thicker now as both of mine leak around the rivets and have lost rivits. My newer one is an 09. The 21' fishmaster doesn't displace much water and the wind blows it all over plus the ride isn't as good... I know you are looking at Hewes but here's a little comparison input. Good luck with your shopping!
