Made the trip north from the Finger Lakes for a little Brown trout action. Had a great morning. Boated 17 fish. One Steelhead, one King and 15 Browns. Reel Rage Trolling Spoons did a bulk of the work.

12lb should work fine. I don't like to go to light. Guy that go to light end up losing tackle and that costs money. I use 20lb myself. A lot of people say that's to heavy. But I've never had a fish brake my line. My team and I seem to do ok in tournament with the heavier line. So somewhere between 12 and 20 is where you want to be. I also do 30ft leaders.
