Have a very nice Eskimo 33cc 8” auger shows little sign off use runs cuts good 125$ also selling my back up auger which is a strikemaster 8” haven’t used it in a few years but has always been a good unit. Gave it a few pulls and it sputtered but didn’t want to start which isn’t surprising considering it hasn’t been run in a while. Pretty certain with a good carb clean it will make somebody a good auger. 50$ For the strike master. I have these priced very fair located in the Hilton Rochester area. 

Can anybody give me some advise on where to park with a small ATV trailer near any ice access around the bay? I’m very familiar with the area we have a camp and boat in cape Vincent but have never been on the ice in chaumont before. Where is the safest place to access the ice on an atv and is there any specific areas to avoid on the wheeler? I will get an ice report before I go from the hardware store but I get nervous on new water with the wheeler lol

Nice condition strike master 2hp with 8” auger. Used it for the last 4 seasons Somehow forgot to drain the gas last season so it needs a carb clean. I’m now using a 6” due to doing more perch fishing now so I don’t need the 8”. 125$ takes it located in Hilton/Greece area.

I see people on long and cranberry ponds in Greece. Are they catching anything?

Are water levels so low that fish cannot get into the ponds from the lake this year.

Went to honeoye yesterday with a buddy and his kid, ran some flags for bass and pickerel . Buddy's kid got 2 flags first thing in the morning both walleyes , 1 keeper and 1 throw back. Hour later I got a flag and another keeper eye. Not 1 bass or pickerel.... Not complaining 1 bit about that [emoji23]. Ice was 5 to 6in

Went out with my brother in law on braddocks today and it was SLOW. They caught 4 small perch before I got there and that was it. Did not see any pike caught on tip up and nobody had luck with perch. Water is very shallow maybe that had something to do with it. Ice is 5-6 inches in most spots. We plan on heading south next weekend no sure exactly where yet.

I’ll be on braddocks tomorrow I’ll give an update. Also I have a Eskimo 8” gas auger for sale as well as a strike master 8” gas. If anybody is interested I’ll be posting an ad on here when I can take pictures.

Tent set up on long pond right now pitch black 50 yards from open water. Using what looked light glow in the dark tip ups. Guy is crazy lol I don’t recommend going out there. Lots of action up north in the 1000 islands area. LOI has good ice as well as a few bays. Chaumont bay is not ready yet but is making progress.

I want to finally make it out to lake placid this winter for ice fishing. I’m wondering if anybody has any advice on what lakes hold some jumbo perch or pike. Never been up there during the winter and with so many lakes/ponds I have no idea where to start. Planned on using tip ups for pike and jigging for some keeper perch. If somebody can steer me in the right direction that would be great.

Swing and a miss for me. Had a shooter come up to about 30 yards at last light and he ducked the arrow. Oh well at least I got rid of the jitters and I’ll be ready again next time. Better to miss completely than hit him in a bad spot I suppose.

Does anybody know what the closest boat launch would be to the massena dam? Have never been that far up the river before and plan on going up this weekend but have no idea where to launch.
