  1. My brother lives in Washington and said they are taking it very seriously,  he doesn't have to go into work for the next 4 weeks. (he can work from home) the schools are closing,  the elderly care center where most of the deaths occurred is locked down but the emergence service people that respond to the care center on a regular bases has been hit really hard. of the 25 that have responded there 12 have been diagnosed with the corona 19.  they are saying its only life threatening  if you are over 50 and have other health issues.

  2. My hope with the heavier weight b/b is to fish 50 to 60 feet with worm harness at 2 mph in Erie. Fish seem to go deeper as the water warms. Check the video out see what you think. Seems worth a try.

Go with dipsy divers or down riggers. I fear you will drag walleyes a lot without knowing they are on with that much weight.

  3. Increased fuel costs alone from operating in that current are astronomical.  You really think these ships want that river flowing at 10,000+?   Those flows not only increase fuel costs, they cause delays, and the high water imposes lower speed limits.  Please tell me again how much they are loving this...  Its amazing the opinions you are able to form when you chose to ignore the facts that dont fit your agenda.  Use all the data and then form your opinions without prejudice.

They cost more to go up river with a high flow rate but aren’t they seeing a savings on there way out? ( going down river)

Back pressure..... On Niagara falls.. A water fall. Ur saying the height of Lake Ontario effects how fast the water plummets 167' to the area below. You may want to rethink that. Simple hydraulics. Merry Christmas boys.

A while back, I went on a charter out of Seattle.  All they ran were very small spoons behind flashers.  We caught a lot of fish but it was at end of season and they were all small.  Spoons I use on Big-O are probably 2-3 times bigger than those we used out west so I run them clean.

ive had days on lake O where my Walleye spoons were getting crushed and I couldn't buy a bite on an NK-28 or magnum.   I believe it depends on the size of the forage fish they happen to be feeding on.

  6. You actually believe that slowing the flow in the st Lawrence and lake Ontarios water level has any impact on the water levels on the other great lakes?  What do u think they are slowing down Niagara falls?  Is this actually what u believe?  Please take the time to research how the system works before replying again.  That's embarrassing.

It absolutely will. There is less back pressure on the water and it will flow faster if you pull the plug. This is simple hydraulics. Pull the plug down stream and they will all drop.

  7. Total weight or just arrow weight? I think the bolts at 300 gr do not include broadhead weight. Add a 125 gr and your at 425 total. I could be wrong though.

    .

No you are correct. But if your shooting them out of a crossbow at over 400 FPS, you need heavy splined arrows with weight forward of center.
My scorpyd 165 shoots 428 FPS with a 415 grain arrow but if there not weight forward heavy spines they shoot all over at 40 yards.

  8. trolling plate , forget to release it, can’t steer, BAGS all the way

He is correct. Bags all the way. I had a trolling plate, they make it harder to steer in the wind with some chop. And if you don’t trip it when you go to leave the spot to head in you’ll shear the pin. I bought bags and have never regretted it.

I really like these rods, not too wimpy I like the MH in a bit longer rod, nice back bone but still long enough to absorb the head shake on a fierce fight..
    Priced right too..

X2 on the blue diamond rods. I use these in the 9 foot version. great rod for walleye and spring browns.

  10. I have the same net. works great for kings in the 20# and over range. I paid 150 for mine.  the only down side is it is pretty heavy, I use a lot lighter net when fishing for walleye. when you have a big King on the line you don't notice the weight and the extra length is a must have.
