You can find landlocks higher up, stickbaits and small spoons but the Lakers are in full affect right now. Never hurts to throw a stacker up. However they prefer a faster troll. 2.5-3 good luck, wifes Bday has me shorebound lol.

Fish over 70-100 fow west side. Hammer flies on dipsys, spoons and spin and glows on riggers. Hammered them today, you should make out well. Keep it under 2mph.

I have a few of those weedless, their huge. Box says add a piece of pork lol. Went 7 for 7 tonight in the wind solo. Breadwinner was wildchild with white shiny Dodger chinook diver on #3 setting at 140 out fishing over 75-100.

Happy memorial day weekend folks, nothing like fishing to remember how lucky we are. Went out last weekend mid lake couldn't find bait to save my life. Checked both sides of lake. Anybody been to S point lately? Anything appreciated, have friends up want to hook them up. Thanks and Be safe!

Hey Bob, don't know about skan. Have you ever thought about lead core? I was picking off the bigger ll's last year running core all the way out with a flat Dodger and a hammer fly. Just a thought for you to get a little deeper when needed:)

Goby pattern, near shore anywhere should work. I saw Lakers, browns and LL's all inside 20 foot of water yesterday. Unfortunately had a bit of the case of lockjaw. 37.5 right now 39-40 should change the game when it comes around. Streamers can be hot to. Here's my favorite trolling pattern.

I prefer less gap in between the hooks with the rear hook facing upwards. When I tye my flies I try to imitate alwives so I use a considerable amount more material to entice fish with a meal worth catching. These are my preferences, I'm sure this pattern could work.

A tandem 2 hook fly with a lot of buckskin on it. I tye my own as I find most do not have enough material. I run the sinker 3 feet in front of the fly in order to bring it down a little. We've had plenty days in the 12-20 fish range with this technique. However fishing is fishing lol.

Little rough out there today, however landlocks were hitting. Did three over 22 inches and one 4 pound brown. Missed a few. Fishing flies 200 back with a small split shot a few feet ahead. I put the riggers down at a max depth of 10 feet but no takers, all top water action. I was fishing as close to the shore as possible. Best day I've had in a while, only trolled 2 hours.
