  1. I'd be interested in effectiveness as well.

I actually bought two from cabelas a while back, used one once and had it set up wrong, got wire tangled in rigger and put it back on the shelf. Never set it back up. Wondering if it makes a difference and I should dog back out.

Don't want to hijack thread but would be interested on a PM if OP or anyone else has used these with success.

Price here seems pretty fair as well!

Do these really make a big difference?

  4. Best piece of advice I have is to start with just a few presentations/rods and work up as you get more comfortable. Don't put out more than you can navigate with or land fish with.

If this is first time doing it, I'd run riggers and either the braid or wire divers.

Spoons early season seem to be generally best bet from what I've read, but I've only got a few springs under my belt myself.
I've had windy days where I just run a dipsy off each side and leave it at that.

  5. Check out General Welding in East aurora NY.

They do a lot of custom work and have done a bunch of the stuff seen at the Made in America stores. Everything from fireplaces to chairs to treestands. Welding drilling bending punching water jet cutting etc.

I bet they could whip up anything you could dream of.

(I'm not affiliated with them, they just make some pretty awesome stuff)
