Headed west out to braddocks dropped lines after finding good temp in 250fow 48 degrees 45 down. Rigger tripped 8lb king on bloody nose spoon down 45 next one came at 300fow down 100 on the same lure king in the teens. Carbon 14 ladder back took two kings in the teens out in 350. Big FF took one on the dipsy and my new spin ray low drag flasher with a mooselook took 2 including a rainbow. Most fish caught between 250 to 350 with one in 220. Perfect day out with my dad and brother happy father's day!

I was there 1st wk of Aug last year. Had a hard time in Goose bay. Did manage a largemouth and 1 pike on spinnerbaits behind the cabins. But got a bunch of smallies either drop shotting or trolling cranks off the shoals at edge of shipping channel right out front. Also picked a few LMs just upriver from Excelsior shoals. Smallies were on almost every shoal then but bit one day and not next.
Year b4 (2016) we camped at Wellesley during same week and I fished mostly eel bay. Cuaght a few there, again, on spinnerbaits.
Now in 2015, we were at Kring in 3rd wk of June. Water was cool like this year. Bass were still on beds in Goose and soft plastics were key.
Now I am coming to Dewolfe Pt next week. So guess I will be concentrating on Bass/Pike in Lake of the Isles. Have done ok there b4. And nites and early mornings will be focusing on Walleye in main river edges. Good luck to you. Will try and post how I do.
Great info How deep did you troll those crank baits? i drift with worm harnesses for walleyes on the river edge how do you go for them.

Started heading north at 100 fow 55 degrees down 45ft. First king came off bloody nose spoon over 160fow down 45 15lber next two were around 6lbs on the same spoon. Lots of boats out best marks were between 150 to 180. 3 for 3 is not a bad start to the weekend.

I have a vacation planned from June 27th through July 9th at kring point state park. Last year I couldn't find any bass or pike and i am going back to try again this time for 12 days. Any advice to locate pike, bass or perch? I will be getting my Canadian fishing license so I can go anywhere. I heard grenadier island is a great spot and goose bay holds some pike but i can use some more advice on where to start and how to fish for them. I usually use live bait and cast occasionally. Thanks for any advice.

Went out Saturday worked 80 to 130 best screen was in shallow with the north wind pushing colder water in. Only landed one coho was a afternoon troll. Going to try all next week I will post my report.

Just was curious what you guys use for a leader length from the cannon ball. I usually set it back 30 to 50 feet but if the fish are down 30 feet do you need a longer leader?
