My Garmin echomap  50dv went the way of the dodo bird as well. I stupidly  bought another Garmin I hpe it lasts a little longer  then the first one.

Rap your winch so that it pulls the cleaves on the front of the boat under the nose peace and then holds it up tight to it. that should take the bounce out when trailing.

Depending on the ramp, if the back end of boat is still floating a little it will end as your picture. Pull ahead 1ft. and re tighten, do this two or three times as you pull out and it should end up tight. I have a roller trailer and can pull it after it is out of the water. 

I launched at Promenade Park at Port Credit, the water is very high but doable . Sea fleas are medium they are definitely there but not bad.

No I didn't catch anything. I was reading the post here after coming home and the water is to warm close to shore and I didn't go deep enough. that's what happens to a some time fisherman.

Psychodad,What ever you are doing keep doing it. Comorants are gust the way of life anymore, but the MNRF are doing a survey so it will be well taken care of..

I'm a fare weather fisherman,just got home from North Bay Ontario were we got some nice Pike had a fish fry and brought some home. I haven't made it to lake O yet but will probably wish off the mouth of the Credit.

Hi smokercraft , me and my boat are like you have been off the water for awhile but we are both supposed to be fixed up. I see you fish on the right side of Lake Ontario, I used to fish off the four stacks at Toronto. Its been awhile so will have to learn again. On a nice day I may be out for a boat ride.22' starcraft islander.

  I have been trying to find out how good or bad Scotty braid is. I bought some to replace cable and it looks so fine that I am wondering if I should turn the cable end for end or use the braid.

I have had a down rigger cable on a big john fray and thought that I would replace it with Scotty Premium Braid. I received it and it looks like I should put on my mooching reel. Has anyone had experience with it.

I'm land lover 1/2 way between Lake Ontario and the Georgian Bay Fish mostly out of Toronto.

That's a nice walleye, I didn't now the ice would be good enough.
