Aren't all of the ipilot functions done thru the remote? I thought you need the ipilot Link version in order to connect to your Humminbird sonar to gain the additional functions.

    I could be wrong

I've had both Powerdrive and Terrovas in the past, between those two alone the choice is easily the Terrova. The deploy/stow mechanism on the PD models was clunky and awkward to use, plus more power and longer shaft lengths on Terrova models made it a no brainer. I've got no experience with ProNav and honestly never heard of it before seeing this, but I can't imagine there is much it can do that the ipilot can't so Terrova with ipilot would be my choice.

I have a garmin so that limits some of the functions you can use with i-Pilot

Sorry, not a bass fishing post but not getting any replies on other threads and since you guys use electric trolling motors the most, here it goes. If you could only have one trolling motor battery on your boat for under $300 what would it be? Looking to run my 55lb thrust minn kota at less than half speed for a few hours at a time but don’t want to spend $2000 on a battery. I would love some suggestions from guys that do it. Thanks in advance.

Look into the cheaper lithium batteries like ampertime or chins

How many people can you fit in your boats? I thought the rule was 3 rods per person.

It is three per person but 6 rods with two people in the boat get cramped and hard to not get everything tangled

I’ve got a bigger boat but when I fish Whitney point I just run 3 rods off the back. A 9’ rod off each side and an 8’ chute rod. As long as you have a trolling motor it’s pretty simple since I pretty much troll up and down the main channel.

Yeah I’ve ran 6 rods off my boat but it was a cluster I figure more rods the better

I actually use it mostly on the Erie canal or small lakes. With an ipilot it's a fishing machine.

Yeah I don’t have balls enough to go on anything bigger I’ve got a clamp on down river for the back and it works amazing but want more rod holders for planer boards

My Jon is a 14' and waves can get dangerous real fast. The front deck section has a wood board screwed down to hold the trolling motor and a rod holder on each side with heavy bottom bouncers. Middle seat holds a fish finder and 2 rods on planer boards and back section gets lighter bottom bouncers. Can be launched anywhere and have limited out many times in it but 1 bad wave and it's over. Screwing into the metal is your best bet. Any clamp on or weighted rod holders will be nothing but problems.

I only go on smaller lakes on nice days I mainly fish Whitney point lake

Thanks Z!  Cabela's only had the left planer board from Offshore Tackle so I ended up going with Church Tackle TX-22's.  I ordered two and I can run them on either the starboard or portside.  I had $136 in Cabela's points that I had to rip through, so I was trying to purchase from Cabela's.  And of course I ordered a few spoons and a couple flashers and…

Let me know how you like the church to-22’s I wanna get some for walleye

  10. Here’s what’s in the regs: key is that your targeting fish during closed season

    Closed season restriction

A person may not fish for a species (even if immediately released) during the closed season for that species on a given water. Fish caught during the closed season must be unhooked and released immediately. They may not be handled for any other purpose.
