Gator , I got that picture for you . First laker with the rod you just built me "awesome" !! Probably a 4lber. Had some other chasers. Released for another day. Better spud if u plan on going to the trout lakes ice varied quick.

Got to north end Conesus alittle late this a.m. couldn't find park spot, went to state boat launch fished 5.5 to 10 fow water over weeds no bite. Fished from 930am to 11am, packed up, went over to Honeoye. Fished 12fow south end, caught few fish. Fished till 2 or so.

Fished cranberry from 10am to 1, moved four times depths from 3.5 ft to 5 or so. Not a bite. Fathead and spike for bait.

I haven't been out yet this season . But in previous years I've always found great fishing to be had at the north end of the lake

On hemlock lake Take the north trail till the end. And walk another 100 yards or so and anywhere along there is ok fishing.

Thanks guys I'll try a few of these new patterns and tactics, it's funny 2yrs ago when we had the high water all that was working for me on the river for bass was a gold number #3 mepps with red dots.

Can anybody tell me what some of the best color patterns for wacky worms are up there on the big river. I've always used pumpkin and rainbow trout but know there has to be others
