Only second time out this year. Wanted to catch kings hit the lake just before 7 . Lots of mud water so went west of the river . Fished in 20 to30 ft and took about a dozen  browns with a steelhead  mixed in . At the end of my trip just west of river got my king and doubled up with a Laker. Everything took fish, but the two hottest baits were NBK stingray  and fire tiger bomber. Sorry short report and no pics.

lines in just before 7:30 in at noon. Fished east in about 60 fow . Wire out 108  did most of the damage with twofaced spoon. That took two browns and a nice fat Atlantic. Put flasher with cut bait  out later in the day caught a nice king out 122 feet . Went four for four there definitely was some cold water in there

Last Tuesday we fished 80 to 100 east of the bay to hedges and did very well browns kings and even a nice Atlantic. Here’s some pics.

Went out looking for a big brown did ok . Basically fished straight out from the bay little east little west 70 feet of water  all spoon bite everything took hits. Wire divers Downrigger‘s and sliders. Two biggest fish or an 8 and  9 ended something like 11for 15 . Around 1030 or 11 decided to run offshore for steel head lake was dead flat not a good idea. Saw a storm coming from the west after fishing from 400 to 500 and  back with only one hit and a few marks . Starting running in trying to beat the rain got half way back hit a cold wind and rain but all was good and then ran into Hurricane force winds and hail thank God the lake was not that rough but I thought the winds going to blow my boat away. Have on idea how long it lasted Felt like in eternity but we came out the other side to just wind and rain . 😀 will be back out tomorrow but not sure when I will run back offshore again. Would love to know if anyone experienced that storm today ?

Nice going I was out both those days Sunday afternoon we did a 10 pound brown and a 15 pound king 90 fow foot right out in front of the day. Monday morning I was solo it was tough with those waves landed two smaller kings lost a bunch.

Set out today looking for browns found north east wind . Fished 60 to 80 fow . Tough going east into the waves but was marking fish and bait turned back west at the cross and the 60 foot rigger’s went off  and started peeling line. Was not a brown LOL Ended the day early do to the waves but ended 4 for 4 all spoons black and silver.

Fished east of the bay out in front of a big White House 170 was best . Lines in at 6 pulled  around noon. The divers out 135 and 150 were nonstop both with meat rigs and spin doc .42nd and Getter  done later in the morning put them out 180 and 210 . Only 2 downrgger bits two faced spinny meat rig . The biggest fish A freaking stud that came out of the water completely like four times then made a big run was my only spoon bit (nbk) riggers we’re at 50 and 60. Kind of lost count over 20 fish on but only Landed about half ???  Didn’t really care wasn’t keeping any was an awesome day out there.

10 on the lower rigger and 40 on the high one down speed 2.5

Fished straight out and a little east 70 to 85 fow . Downrigger‘s  45 and 60 with spoons diver out 150 with spin doctor and meat . Missed the first bit but landed the next 6. All around 8 to 12s except one high teens 18/19 lbs. everything took two bites except the seasick Wadler.

Woke up sick went back to bed. I was woke up by a friend on the phone said they were getting silvers to the west by the time I got out there the lake was all white cabs so I fish from the river back to shipbuilders good temperature nice Color but no takers got my first skunk of the year

Not much to say fished with my friend Jack . The wind that has been blowing for days turned the Webster shoreline clear and cold .Head down to the river and fish the mouth and a little west . Fished till around 11 ended 3 for 3 all kings all spoons 3 Color led diver out 30 and downrigger down 8 took the bites.

Thanks that sounds like a good setup and like my dad always said keep it simple stupid

Question when running 4 down rigger’s The two off the back of the boat One with the probe sitting in 50° water the other 15ft deeper catch 90% of the fish. The two rigors off the side I like to run 10 feet up from the one below it very rarely go off. Is there anything I can do to make my set up more productive?
