DEC online site has a list of launches in every county.

Someone posted last week I think it was, that the parking lot hadn't been plowed yet. But no ice in the little Salmon, so if you can get to launch after the snow melts in the next couple days you should be good to go.
I was there last week and the opening in the fence had a good amount of snow, but there was some blacktop showing down closer to the ramp. Hoping we’re all good to go after our resent weather

Going to take a look this Sat the 13th. Will post.
Thanks for the response Gregger. I’m thinking about making the hour drive there tomorrow or Friday. Was hoping someone closer would have checked it out.

Next week is looking good weather wise, time for fishermen with plows to do their thing. Lol [emoji23]

Parking lot at launch is showing some blacktop. Getting into the lot is still a bit troublesome.

I agree. How many guys can say they got a grand slam on the last day of February. A tip of the hat to Doc and crew.
Where do you launch this time of year on Cayuga

That’s a great day Kev, but be honest, Bernie caught most of them didn’t he.

Don’t believe I was asking for anyone to give up their spots. Was asking about where to launch and what birds are normally harvested on the lake. I’m now guessing you boys are territorial, if you think that’s what I was asking. That’s hilarious!!!

Anyone ever hunt Onondaga lake. Looking for some information about it, species, launches, etc.

Was hoping for alittle feedback before we make the trip down to Cuse. We’ll see what happens when we get there and setup.

The SE side of Carlton Island is a great perch spot in July and August. We drift from the Silo to the point on the East end in 15-25'. BE careful if you anchor in that area. There is a power cable that goes across the river bottom to the island in that area. It was not marked on Navionics (it is now) when we caught our anchor on it years back! We do get some occasional bass and walleye while perch fishing there too.
I want to thank all you guys who gave me information on perch fish The Cape. My wife and I got into some small perch off the concrete pier out front of the village. Nothing big, but they kept us busy. Thanks again

Just spent a week at Angel Rock cottages right by Carleton island. You can catch perch all day around there with worms. We found if the gobies start taking your worm, best thing to do is move until you hit the perch again. Good bass around feather bed shoal right by Carleton island on worms and minnows. Bass masters were all around that shoal all week. Beautiful area there, good luck!
Thanks Dan, hopefully my grandkids look as happy as the little queen in your picture. What depths were you having the best time.

By any chance do U know any good spots I can pick mushrooms this time of year:thinking:
LOL. Great advice
Glad you brought up the kid factor, my grandson is the reason I was asking about the fishing. Don’t want to take him out and strike out. We don’t see much bait fishing around here this time of year. Everyone is out trolling, myself included. Taken my grandson many times and kept him busy with worms fishing smallmouth and rock bass.
