Sounds like a plan!! Thanks! Very helpful!!I like the set up! Is there any disadvantage to the lite bites divers?

Mr 580, can you elaborate a little more on your setup? You said you run wire and braid with a section of monofilament for the diver to slide on. Can you break it down?

Mr 580 I'm glad you mentioned the lite bite. I'll be fishing Owasco lake exclusively. I was going to order two No1s and noticed the lite bite and just came on to ask about them. Owasco has a lot of smaller fish with a occasional whopper.will the lite bite set the hook on larger fish? Thanks!!!

I've been looking for slide divers at bass pro and fish USA and can't find them. I think I need to be more specific when I do a search and where to best purchase them on line? Thanks!

Do Slide divers have an advantage over Dipsy diver type divers? I don't see many post about them...Thinking it would be a good thing to run outside my riggers? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!![emoji846]

Thanks Sk8man, I'll do a 3 and 5 with 25-30 ft of 12# mono. Would you say that should cover 18-30 ft?

I want to set up a couple short core reels to use this spring on Owasco. I'm not sure the best way to go with it. How many colors? Type of backing? Length of leader? I plan on useing them on inline boards. Any suggestions are appreciated... thanks!!

Zinger, do you have a flag on your boards? I think Dreamweaver makes 2 different types??? Thanks!!

I believe Dreamweaver makes a speed plainer and a speed plainer walleye board. Tha walleye board is smaller and has the flag available. Will the smaller walleye board handle 300 ft of copper? Thanks!!

Rolmops, thanks for the reply! One of the main reasons that I wanted try a Copper rig was that Lyk2fish has been slaying everything Owasco has to offer on them. I'm just trying to learn what I can about them so I can hopefully make the right decision on how to set up and use one. My wife and I have had a very decent summer of fishing for us on Owasco useing riggers and core. We've learned so much from you guys here on the forum and appreciate it tremendously! Long time...

Thanks again Sk8man! These are totally new to me. Do you use them often? What weights do you like? Where do you clip them on the line? My core should cover down to 50-60 ft and want the copper to get me to at least 70ft it would be nice tho if I could use the copper like the core and let out what's needed for different depths on a board....

Sounds like good advice Sk8man! I appreciate the information and the sharing of your fishing experience!! I'm am still curious about the clip weights. Are these inline trolling weighs or something else??? Thanks!!! Long time...

Ok thanks!! Gotcha! I'm thinking that I'm going to set up one 300 ft copper rig and splice in a piece of ? lb monofilament or braid? at 100 and 200 to attach to the board that should give me some flexibility... will this work and can I get 300 ft of 45# on the Okuma 45 size reel If I cut down on the backer? Two splices could be10- 20-30 ft ? to get the copper on the outside of the downrigger?

Thanks again mr 580!! I like the idea of the lite bite and just ordered 2, a pair of no 3 snap on rings and Spool of 80 lb power pro super 8 slick. I hope the pp slick will help with the fleas! [emoji846]
