I source my PFAs straight from the lab, so I know exactly how much to use to get that perfect flavor.

Seriously, though, and not to hijack this thread, but over the past decade I have become severely alcohol intolerant. I have a hangover before getting a buzz!! I'd think that it's a me thing, except that there's at least several of us on this board alone that now have the same issue. It happened as we got older. Knowing how some of these chemicals manufactured in labs can interact with our genome in unexpected ways makes me wonder how prevalent this sort of age-onset allergy is these days, and whether it's linked to environmental toxins. There's begun to be some interest at the national level in this sort of general phenomenon. We know the incidence of childhood food allergies are rising, and it's not crazy to extrapolate to older adults.

Anybody else here experience unexplained allergies with age?  Of the eight or so folks I know with alcohol intolerance, all are men. Obviously, I'm not claiming cause-and-effect with fish borne toxins, but it's enough to make me raise one eyebrow and throw this out there for discussion.

Thoughts and prayers Gator...Power through it:drunk:

We have manual cannon riggers on our bass boat. They've worked well for many years and without problems.

However, I would highly recommend staying away from electric Cannons.

I ended up going with a pair of used Scotty's and so far I love them!

If I didn’t think the steering was right on a brand new boat, I’d be talking with the dealer’s service manager about the issue.  Maybe something was overtightened.  I have Sea Star steering in my boat and it steers one handed no problem.  Let them know your concerns.

Me too. Its should easily steer one handed. Maybe take the dealer tech for a sea trial>>>something is definitely goofy.

  4. I hava a 15hp yamaha 4 stroke kicker on my 18ft tracker that I rarely use for trolling on lake O because I do not have throttle control at the helm and its a huge pain in the butt to have to keep getting up to make speed adjustments. Besides my main motor (Verado 150) can troll down to about 2.0 mph. That said I do like having a backup out there, especially on boats our size. It does cause the boat to list slightly to port and stern while its sitting at the dock but I have not noticed any problems with the boat performance while on plane or trolling. Good luck!

  5. The temp was very deep since mon
Sat up was 48 75 dn.bite was gteat

    Temp is down 120-140.
Ff 140 down over 200 fow has been picking us up some fish. Slow pick but at least there are some active fish. Mexico bay was stuffed with fish yesterday morning but they were not hungry.
Also picking up a couple in the willow hole on salmon river when its too rough to get on the lake. Not great but some fish around.

  6. I am by no means an inline board expert, I do know a cross wind or trolling parallel to the waves will cause the boat to "slide" sideways.  My boat sticks out of the water a lot more than that tiny board, and a cross wind will push the boat sideways much faster than the board, the line gets a bit slack and the board drops back.
The up wind board on the other side pulls like a rented mule as the boat "slides" away from the board.  The "slide" sideways can be considerable, and being out in open water, we don't even notice it happening.
Just my $.02 from an old guy..

Maybe that was a factor. If I remember I believe the waves were pushing toward that board on the port side. The boat could have been overrunning the board I guess. Something to watch for for sure…thanks

  7. I'm running 25# mono backer so that's not the issue. Next time out I will try the 400 on the other board that was working well with the 200. Could be something with that particular board I guess. Thanks for the input leadhead.
