6/9 fished 70-160 in front of river 7am -11am. Marked bait and fish but never moved a rod. Tried everything in a 9 rod spread. Figured they were not biting cause the storm front moving in. Angler survey boat said other boats said it was tough also.

6/14 Took a firefighter buddy out and figured we had till 11ish before the rain came. I was wrong. Launched at river again but this time at 5:30am. Headed to Braddocks and set up in 70 and deepest was 120. Marked most fish and bait in 100 fow. Had one hit a dispey but gone before rod was out of holder. Had one small king on deep rigger. Looked dark to the west and saw lightening off Braddocks so we pulled lines at 8:30 and headed to the dock. Rained little bit but not what I thought was coming. Only 1 other boat out near me.

Maybe it’s slow in Rochester or I am having bad luck. Had a good spring but struggling this week. This is why I go bass fishing also, lol.

Hopefully this might help someone. Good luck everyone!

It’s frustrating because the only way this great fishery continues is by getting more and more people involved.

Started at 5:30am in 80 fow. Bait scattered with fish. Started with riggers and dipsy divers. No hits. 7:00 first hit in 140 fow on a mag dipsey out 167 approx. 75-80 feet down. Flasher w attomick stud. Next hit came at 10:00 on a green jeans flasher and meat in 150fow. First fish landed at 11:00am on a rigger with a dragon slayer flasher w stud meat rig. 11:10 another. 11:20 another. All the same flasher. All three fish were over 18lbs. One was 23lbs. All three were in 170-180 fow and 81 feet down. Meat is the ticket right now. I hope this helps just one person because no one wants to give any info. It’s very disappointing.

Fish Habitat Enhancement Plan

https://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/topic/108329-fish-habitat-enhancement-plan/?do=findComment&comment=749175

This should get interesting. After this date, the registration fee will increase to $90. Please ensure you sign up soon to take advantage of the lower price.

The schedule for this year's tournament is as follows:

 - July 24th: The Curt Tournament

 - July 25th: The Main LOTSA Tournament

 - July 24th–25th: The 323 Tournament

 - July 26th: Reserved as a weather day, if needed.

The format for all three tournaments remains the same as in previous years.

	Tournament Highlights:

 - Friday FREE Curt Tournament: This year features cash payouts ($400 for 1st, $300 for 2nd, $200 for 3rd, and $150 for Big Fish). A free cookout with drinks will be provided at the Town of Newfane Marina. Additionally, the DEC will be on-site to collect DNA samples from King Salmon to help determine the ratio of wild versus hatchery-raised fish. This data is vital for lake management decisions.

 - Saturday Salmon Tournament: Participation is limited to 60 boats. With a full field, we will pay out 15 places. This is a "One Salmon" tournament, meaning a single catch could win it all.

 - The 323 Tournament: Geared toward our more competitive members, this event tracks the best three fish over two days and pays out the top three places. The entry fee is $50 per boat.

We would also like to extend a special thank Paul DeAngelo of DeAngelo Fish Art Replicas for donating a free salmon replica mount again this year! The mount is valued at over $800. This prize will be awarded to the member who catches the largest salmon in either the 323 or the Salmon Tournament.

We look forward to seeing you there!

	Tight Lines,

I recently had the outstanding oppurtunity to pick up a Bayliner trophy 2002wa with a 125 outboard on it. It has a kicker motor plate. Which I have placed my kicker on.

the main motor has a disconnect like you would see on an air line.

The place has been inundated with cormorants. Hundreds of birds in the trees, which are now completely white from their droppings.
When we returned to the dock about 11:00 we noticed a couple dead cormorants in the area near the boat ramp. I noticed two men in shirts with USDA on them. They were picking up brass from 22 shells. They said that they had killed about 100 birds. I saw them take a few more as I watched.

That took to about noon

I finished playing with transducers and the end result is that the 600 watt Airmar is a better choice than the 1kw. The cone on the 600 is wider, which at the depth we work at, is what I need.

Going out to check it , I found that the temperatures went way up. Over 130 feet the surface at 57 and 50 foot down 54.7. I did not look for a thermocline but it might be setting up. Bait was plentyful at 50 down over a hundred feet. In the 2 hours on the water I managed one steelhead and one king, neither of them very big. Nothing but skippers til we got out in front of oz, fished 30-60. Made a turn out deeper and soon as we hit 90fow caught a giant brown on a 50 foot rigger with a stingray spoon, brown was 13 pounds. Stayed on a 90 foot line and proceeded to take another giant on a 300 copper with stingray as well. Hung around in that water til the lake blew up but it was a steady pick of kings and browns in there the whole time. Sunday got a late start but fished 30-50 fow til we got past the plant. Really slow one brown on a 5 color in 40 fow. Headed out deeper on the way back and got one nice king in 120 fow. Soon as we were picking up saw the abs mother load of marks in 90 fow in Mexico bay but didn’t fish them bc we were pretty much reeled up.57 on top 52 down 50 foot or so.

Legacy Olcott 6/7

https://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/topic/108299-legacy-olcott-67/?do=findComment&comment=749019

Another great day out of Olcott today. 140 to 180 and heavy on the meat.
