On Sandy Creek just south and west of the bridge of the Parkway there is a lot of work (or so it seems) going on. The brush has been cleared out and they are advertising the availability of ice, fuel and, presumably, slips. But there is only one pontoon moored in that quite big place. It looks like a nice place, close to the lake and the creek is fairly deep over there already. Does it have a launch?. I would like to find out more, but the gate is closed all the time so it is hard to figure out what is going on.

	Any info?

Haven’t made the trip out in a couple years and I don’t have a camper anymore. I’ve fished Oswego, Mexico and fair haven mainly would like to stay in the that area, I’m coming from lake George. Would prefer a hotel as my trips are usually only 2-3 nights and cabin rentals usually have a week minimum. Not picky on where I sleep would just like someplace that I don’t have to worry too much about the boat being parked outside. Thanks, Jordan.

Fished 70-110 all day and crushed the kings once again. 20-65 down were the most consistent depths. Meat, Hawks Tackle Electric Funeral spoon and a froggy glow stinger stingray were the top producers. Now for the crazy story. We had a diver out 150' with a brand new Smart Troll 2 probe, paddle, meat rig and a fake meat strip on it. We didn't notice the wire was around the tip of the roller rod. A big king hit and immediately cut the wire off losing the entire set up. We watched the depth change as the fish swam away. 3 hours later, the probe started reading again 50' down! We watched for a couple minutes and all the sudden the fish dove to 84' down as we went by!

This morning while walking my dogs in Hamlin State Park along the beach, I saw tons of birds just floating on the water. It caught my attention because until now most of the gulls were flying looking for breakfast. As we walked, my dogs started to jump in the water chasing things. It turned out to be dying alewives.

It is probably the result of an upwelling of cold water, but it reminded me of last year's die off and the effect it had on fishing. With many dead and dying fish in the water all mister salmon has to do is open his mouth and swallow bait without having to work for it. As a result, the bite really slowed down, Let's hope that this is just a small event

Just curious what you guys think about the use of scent? Specifically for spring browns and salmon. I've very unscientifically experiment by running the same baits on both sides of the boat...one side with scent, the other without. All other variables being as identical as possible. In my limited testing I haven't seen a difference with or without. Interested in your experience.

Fishing the last 3 days I saw a total of maybe 10 boats total . Today 1 was within 2 miles of us . And the fishing and weather mostly is quite good

Made the trip up Yesterday afternoon with my son to the North country for Youth Turkey weekend. We were greeted with great weather and plenty of birds to play with after putting a handful of birds to roost we made a solid plan for this morning. After casting a few calls and moving into a better position 3 Toms broke away and came into easy shotgun range. My son put the Mossberg 835 to work and executed a great shot. High fives and more memories made 🇺🇲
