Brown or Atlantic…

Just wondering what all your thoughts are on these fish. I’m green to Browns!

B-R-O-W-N for sure.

Tail gives it away (atlantic is forked)

Too many black spots on gill plate (trout normally only has 2 or 3 on gill plate).

Mouth looks like it ends behind eye or close to it (trout has smaller mouth).

Brown trout is capable of changing its color depending on its surroundings. Out in the open lake that will be silvery, but in colored water or in streams that same trout will be darker. Sort of like a chameleon.

It’s weird I have been doing this kind of fishing for about 6 years now and have never caught a brown. All of the sudden boom. Funny how that works lol.

One thing I noticed about landlocks...their scales are looser and some tend to come off when they are handled.
