Protecting graphite reels?

What is everyone doing to protect graphite reels from uv damage? Reels like Penn rival/warfare, okuma Magda’s and convectors. I’ve tried a couple things with no luck. Considering just trying to throw some clear coat on them

Out of the sun when not in use goes a long way but I'm curious to see what other feedback comes for this always good to know ways to take care of the gear

I use CAR GUYS plastic restorer
