Launched out of Taughannock at noon and enjoyed an afternoon of trolling.  Sun was out at first and the fish were not interested.  An hour later some clouds moved in and it was game on.  All Lakers today with an even mix taking spoons off the riggers and hitting flies on dipseys.  Nice afternoon for January.

Awesome, glad to see you got out. I would have been out as well, the Lund is broke.

What depths were you running?

Cool you were able to get out and enjoy - looks like the next few weeks the weather isn't very boat friendly

Arrived at the launch about noon with forecast of cloudy afternoon but had a bright sun and blue sky to start.  With crystal clear water running along the shore was a non-starter so set up in 40-80 fow at first .  Empty screen and empty net so slid out farther picking up just a couple on the small side so headed out to the middle dropping a ball deep.  One release but gone before grabbing the rod.  Coming into under 200 fow on the East side and the party started with fish from 18-28 inches hitting consistently for the next hour.  Headed straight back over to Taughannock to finish and still had rods going off despite the screen showing just an occasional mark.

Would love to get out again soon but it seems we are having some true Winter weather this year......
