Preferred Chinook Diver Size for Spring

I'm curious what size Chinook Diver is recommended for Spring fishing. I'm leaning towards Size 1 but if the Size 2 works in skinny water I'll go with them for the extra depth later on in the season.

I use 1's when I'm really shallow.  I use 2's when I'm a little deeper.

It's actually a serious clinical syndrome, referred to as G.A.S.

We all get G.A.S.

We run the 2's. I should get a set of 1's and try them.

 

That being said, I was out trying to get a customer a Lake Trout a few weeks back and took a Chinook #2 and moved the weight all the way in to make it dive. I ran it with braid and was able to bump bottom in 50'. I was impressed.

I run 2s on 2nd setting or 1s on the third setting depending on the depth of the water.

I find a clear trip Z diver is extremely effective and once tripped cannot even tell it's on the line . I run them on a diver rod with about a 10 foot leader with a size 40 trip diver.

In really skinny water we had trouble with ones coming out of the water when it was rolling.
