Word is Mike's Marina inside storage building collapsed this winter. We have reached out everyday since learning of the collapse and unfortunately no one will get back to anyone regarding their boats. If you have a boat at Mike's Marina I would suggest looking into if your boat had been destroyed or not! What an unfortunate event for all, but even more unfortunate that a once reputable business can't even respond to the loyal customers who have spent thousands of dollars with them over the years and currently have tens of thousands of dollars of equipment held in in limbo and insurance companies are refusing to move forward until they are able to see the boats. Oswego county sheriff's have been notified and have been working on a solution so anyone affected should reach out to them as well.

Good luck!!

Felt I had to share so those who may not even know there boats are wrecked can get a jump on insurance claims.

I hope there's resolution soon and not too many folks are impacted.

Has anyone else been impacted by this? I was not aware my boat was being stored at this facility until this week and it is destroyed. Owner of the marina is taking 0 responsibility and neither is the owner of the storage facility. I am not sure if anyone else is having the same issues. My boat never should have been at this facility to begin with. Any help or advice would be much appreciated

No advice here I'm sorry you lost your boat. I was on the phone with my uncle he's an older guy (80) now he's lived in Mexico Route 3 for very long time now he said it snowed so hard and it was a wet heavy snow. I forgot how many inches he said think it was over 100 in for that month February. he lost an out building on his farm the insurance company wouldn't touch it because they said there was no insurance for that amount of heavy snow. Sounds like the same for Mike's Marina no insurance would cover the damage but I don't know if that's the fact or not but that's my guess if you didn't have insurance on your boat it might be out of luck I'm sorry sure does suck.

Yes, at least two others are receiving the same thing, and was never notified directly, we all had to reach out to even be able to get any information and they still have not told us the condition of the boat, but the other gentleman's boat is also completely destroyed. I know mine is also but they won't confirm or deny anything still.

My boat was in this storage building as well! I am told it has been removed from building but would not tell me anything on damage. I am heading up in the morning to see boat and see what they may or may not do about damage. PJ Weber

Thats bullcrap on the insurance, they are trying hard not to pay out. A quick letter from a lawyer and he will get covered.

Unfortunately it's not that simple and we have pursued that avenue. There is a bigger situation developing and we are asking anyone that has also suffered damages to reach out so we can discuss our options collectively.
