So, I bought this older Springbok/ALCAN 14' aluminum boat as a restore project.

This is the Transport Canada tag on the boat.

As you can see, the boat is rated for a 25HP (19kW) and a load capacity of 450kg.

I've been researching the boat, but can't find any details on this specific model (AL-1-144). The boat has a steering console, and remote throttle, but I'm not sure it is original to the boat.

I've been able to find similar Springbok/Princecraft 14' boats with the same design, but a different model. For example, this boat looks very similar, but has a different model number.

The Transport Canada tag on this boat is below.

The boat is the same size, same design and color (the only difference I see is that my boat has two 90degree brackets that attach from the transom to the bottom of the boat.

Anyone able to provide some of their knowledge on older Springbok/ALCAN/Princecraft boats, and if the model I have is anything unique because of the higher motor rating/capacity load, and has a steering console/remote throttle that may, or may not be original?

Any Information is greatly appreciated!!
