Salmon at Main Duck Isl--when?

I am new to Lake O salmon fishing and would like to get started. I will be heading to the lake from Cape Vincent and would like to fish within 10 miles of the Cape. What months of the summer are the best for salmon around the Main Duck Island? What other areas out of the Cape should I look for? Thanks

well out that way is the shipping lanes.. they should be getting geared up with salmon (trout are already there) any time within the next month.. after that they will be starting to move in closer to shore with places like the trench and off the light house getting better.

Better have your Ontario fishing license. Main Duck is in Canadien waters EH?
