We went out of Port Whitby on Thursday morning. Hardly any bait schools, and sporadic fish charted out in 114 ft, mainly close to the bottom. Had one on for about a minute but no fish. Never seen any action on nearby boats, talked to another fella at the launch and he never got anything either. Surface temp was 54 and warmed up to 62 way out at 240 ft. Probably 5 boats fishing at around the 100 to 120 ft depth range.

Same story for Whitby on Sunday morning.

Very few fish seen on the finder.

None boated, none on.

Saw a number of boats in the area; didn't see anyone pulling anything in.

Talked to other guys at the ramp, everyone had the same story.

Didn't manage to get out this weekend, too stormy Sat and figured Sunday would be a write off due to the weather. Was out last Sunday July 5th at bluffers and pulled in a 26lb king and 1 shaker lost 2 others. Of course batteries were dead in the camera so no pics but looking forward hopefully to a better year this year. Anybody on radio? If so what channel. Hopefully if the weather co-operates will be out this weekend out of bluffers. Let's hope for that south wind....

Fish On
