If you're fishing the Toronto Salmon Derby, post your results here!.

I'll start.

We were out today around Ashbridges area and did ok. We went 3 for 5 with one fish 27.76#, biggest of the summer so far! We caught another Chinook 18# and one around 3 months old I think.

Water was pretty calm in the morning, and by the time we left around 11:30 it was starting to get a bit rougher. Surface temp was 65, didnt bother taking deeper temp.

Here are a few picks from today, enjoy!

First fish, bait almost, Green/Green Evil Eye.

Second fish, 27.76# king. 140 FOW, 2.7MPG, 225 ish out on the dipsy (chartreuse/white rign), with Green / Silver spin dr and blue/green/silver atomik fly.

Third fish, 18#, same details as second fish:

Lost two more big ones, first just unhooked itself, the second snapped my leader between the dipsey and the spinner and lost my $26 rig..*$#

Hi,

I was out Friday a.m. off Ashbirges Bay and saw two medium salmon caught with a blck dipsey diver rig. I too was using a Dipsey diver only Gold with a black O ring. I had a 4 foot flourocarbon leader with a siver Williams spoon. The leader kept winding itself around the main line. Any ideas as to the cause?

Make sure when you are letting line out that you keep tension or else the dipsey will spin on the way down. Maybe just dial down the drag and let line out instead of releasing the bail. WHen I first started using the dipsey I ran into the same problem and the above stopped that problen.

Good luck!
