We headed out on sat in Oswego harbour. We fished from 3:30 to 11:00 at night and did not catch a bass. I am reading reports and NO BASS is the norm this year. I threw on a trout hook and a piece of Night crawler and Goobies every cast, every where we went. Never seen the bass fishing this bad. Any thoughts? Goobies Egg eaters? Just not there? OR I just SUCK at bass fishing.

Last year alot of kills from viruses, I witnessed them washing up on shore! Also could have been big winter kills after last years hard winter. There was quite a winter kill at Sandy pond I seen while crappie fishing! Gobies are a big problem though! The lake has always gone through boom and bust cycles, but this seems different from what I'm hereing!

Bass is slow from the reports I've seen but you need to use a drop shot on LO. sinker on the bottom and your bait up 8in to a foot to keep the gobys off. They don't have a swim bladder and have to stay on the bottom. You need your presentation to be above the gobys.
