Ive been with att for ever(used to be celular one) and they stink ,many lost calles(droped) always having tower problems and very poor reception in the lakeontario (N/E) usa sector. but due to kids with I phones and my work use I stay with them.(polish) . I have a friend who sells farm equiptment with onboard gps and also with special permits they use verison to triangulate location within 2to 3 inches for plowing /fertlizing , and harvesting crops ....pretty cool just like our autopiolets.you can get off the tractor and it will drive its self with pinpoint precision ...so my vote a verision.

verizon and ATT have the best national cell coverage but I have Verizon because they have the best coverage in the outlying areas like the finger lakes and such where I spend a good bit of rec time-less dead spots-compare coverage maps. (not that ATT is horrible out there just not as good) I'd rather have the iphone like my wife, but what use is it with spotty or no sevice?

I use AT&T. I used it in Black Lake, Wellsville, Oswego and always have great reception. My brother has Verizon and he has problems in souther tear and sometimes on the lake. My son has had Cell1 before it became AT&T and he has never changed. Between Verizon and AT&T is a toss up depending where you spend your time I guess.

Verizon...because my employer provides the phone.

They also seem to have the best coverage. We were with verizon years a go, switched to Nextel, which sucked and switched back to verizon as soon as possible after our Nextel contact was up.

AT&T. iPhone I can do almost anything I can do on a computer on the new 32gig iPhone 3GS Internet. Very few droped calls. Works of shore. I was 15 miles offshore Sunday and on the phone. GPS, tons of apps and the list goes on.

I'm posting this message with it now sitting in my work truck.

Great info guys I appreciate every reply :) I would love to get the I phone. but am not sure if AT&T is the way to go for me. I have Verizon now and am not that impressed with it's service or there choice of phones. Does Verizon have a phone like the I phone that any one knows of? Thanks again for all of the info and reply's

I use Sprint. The phone coverage is mediocre at best however the data is the main reason I'm with them. By far the fastest and cheapest data plans and my plan includes free roaming so even if I have to bounce off a verizon tower its free. Theres nothing like having up to the minute live doppler radar on the water.

If im gonna pay $60/month to have a phone I WANT TO USE IT! Therefore Verizon is the only choice ESPECIALLY on the lake or southern regions of New York where I hunt. AT&T would get my business b/c of the iphone only if they had better service.

I voted Verizon, my work provides me with a Vz cell phone and also broadband card for my laptop cell coverage is better than average and the wireless card is ok, my personal cell (have the family plan) is also Vz --- not that i use it too much but when i need it it's there. 15 % discount makes it easier to swallow to. Nope, they don't have anything even close to the iphone. I am up for a new phone and there ISNT anything they have that I want. I currently have a Motorola Q. It syncs with outlook. I can carry this phone with me and when someone calls for a charter I can check dates immediately. Every once and a while I can hook it up to my computer and let it sync with outlook, so if anything ever happens to my phone I have all my charters in a calendar in outlook. Im holdin on to my phone till next summer. there is speculation verizon will have an iphone lite, but we wont know till a news release happens.

Im a technology geek, and I want the iphone, but I have seen AT&T service compared to my verizon and it aint worth it.

ATT has roll over minutes and if your phone dies you take the sim card out and put it in a $20 pre paid go phone, also carries your contacts ect. Verizone and Sprint , if your phone dies you pay at least $150 to replace it unless you have thier insurance.

Sprint has night free night starting at 7pm and great data service. The service is second rate to Att and verizon, but Sprint wil roam off Verizone and Att towers at no cost to you. Sprint also has plans starting at $29 and a plan that is truely unlimited for $99 talk text data ect..

Verizon has great coverage "around here".

If you go with Att or Sprint go to The Shack we I mean they garentee the lowest price ;)

YT; and other's

I'm not defending AT&T. They use to suck. I believe the service and drop calls have changed with the new 3Gs network. I have had like 3 dropped calls since I have owned the NEW iPhone....try it they have a 30 day if you don't like it send it back at no charge..

Like I said above I can do almost anything on my phone I can do on a computer.

hmm thats interesting. I just got my wife the new Iphone 3Gs a couple week ago and thy told me it would be immediately faster than the old one simply because it has a faster processor than the 3G version but that we wouldn't see the true improvement until the end of the year because they are still building out the 3Gs network. when I asked if we might see the improvements in places where the network is already built he said No, because it will all go live at once at that point. so according to ATT, 3Gs services are not available yet...
