Casting spoons on Rochester Piers

Planning on getting out of the creeks and streams and heading toward Irondequoit Bay and Summerville piers soon and casting spoons. Has anyone been there; done that yet? I'm thinking lake side at Summerville and where the rubber meets the road at Irondequoit Bay.

Bumping my own thread....What is the ideal water temperature for throwing off of the the piers for browns? Today, the deep water temperature in the paper is 45 degrees.
