Weekend Workout!

Just Fishin'

Recommended Posts

At one time I enjoyed the prep work that went with owning a boat each spring. Then I discovered salmon trolling! Now I fret every minute that I am not in the water this time of year. For the first time in a long time I was able to wash and wax the boat in nice weather and still have hopes of getting in the water for the early bite. (some years I have just skipped the prep and hit the water constantly lying to myself that I would pull the boat and do the maintenance later)

Waxing sure beats the hell out of these out of shape arms.

For everyone else that spent the weekend prepping...I hope you see the water soon.

Just do what I do. Tell the guys that normally fish with you that if they want to fish, come and help. I give them a trip were they do not have to pitch in for gas and I also buy them lunch the day of the work. This year I had too many guys helping. I did not do any waxing. I just painted the bottom while they waxed. It was great.

Yeah, It's funny when it's time to do the work nobodys

around. But, the first really nice day and all your friends are

waiting at the dock wanting to go out.

Another thing... I think we have a class action law suit against

all the boat manufactors. It seems they leave out all the WORK

that goes into the boating thing. All you see is the the people crusing

down the lake with the wind in their hair and smiles on their faces.

They don't tell you it's going to cost you $560.00 to fill up the boat at $4.00

a gallon and you are going to get mile a gallon.

Oh, well. Some bottom paint to do and then hopefully we are going to splash

her for the season. GOTA TO LOVE IT
