GPS chart display heading

Curious what display mode most of you run on?

I do north up but i think its to keep things as simple as possible for myself and others on board.

Up until April I use North up, but then in April and only April I use the north star in daylight, especially when I go out on the 1st Seriously North up all the time...but only in the northern hemisphere..Aussie rules apply to south up .....north..ɥʇnos...north...ɥʇnos... enjoy yer winter Ice..it is your time.

Maybe for you, but I keep the boat out well into November for Ocean striper fishing

I always lied heading up as I'm looking at the chart. Less to think about as its telling me where I'm heading, less to interpret. If I'm heading in towards the breakwall I want to see it coming towards the boat, just seems much simpler that way.

I was speaking of salmon on lake Ontario, you know, the kind you & child are holding. normally, my last outings on local upstate NY lakes are usually in late November/December, as I have an outboard powered boat & keep it in a heated garage. I have been on the finger lakes, Oneida Lake & lake Ontario as late as the Xmas/ New years week, just depends on the weather.
