Looking for Captain who is looking for a deckhand

My name is Jason Karol, a sophomore at odyssey academy, and an avid fisherman. I am looking to deckhand for a charter for this upcoming fishing season in the rochester area(preferably launching on the genesee river but anywhere in the vicinity). I have a strong passion for fishing and would love to learn the ropes of the charter fishing buisness and work with a captain. I am more than willing to do any and all jobs on the boat and have lots of experience fishing; If it has to do with fishing, boating, or just being on the water, i love to do it. I have been fishing my entire life and am looking to take the next step and work for a captain. I have prior work experience in the food industry, bussing tables at Crescent Beach, but would like to get into the fishing buisness as this is one of my biggest intrests and desires. Nice timely post Jason and welcome to the site.

If you could branch out a little further west I'm sure you can find some boats to work on at Oak Orchard. Lots of busy Captains and several are always looking for mates ---especially before school lets out for the summer and after school comes back in.

There are several "full time mates" that make the trip from the western basin of Lake Erie just to mate on boats at the Oak.

If you make the trip west to the Oak stop by Lake Breeze Marina and Four C's Marina and leave your name, number and credentials--you might be pleasantly surprised.

Ok thanks, i will keep that in mind. Oak Orchard is 40 miles away from where i live which would be fine on the weekends but im looking more in the genesee river or in the area. Thanks again, good fishing.
