TO all that have the TR-1gold tiller autopilot please jump in on this one. I came across this on the GLA website and was very curious about it. The cost is rediculous but if it works as good as it says its saposed to I will take the hit.

Any one have this unit? I am considering all options over the winter. There is also something a friend told me about rigging a sailboat piston style autopilot up to your kicker that is way cheaper?! Anyone know anything on that?

I have a mechanical drive (brandnew)teleflex system to an 87 120 hp johnson, but my kicker is a 2001 9.9 4 stroke merc that ties in with a bracket to the main engine to steer it no throttle control from the drivers seat. It wouldnt make sense to run the autopilot back to my 120 hp, i just need it to control the kicker when im trolling. Any reccomendations?
