Well, their prices SEEM reasonable, so I decided to buy one of the Diamond Thunders to check them out. A single spoon did not meet the minimum ($10) order, so I added a second to my cart and went to check out. The shipping charge for 2 spoons is over $10! Are you kidding me? That should cost less than $1 to send anywhere in the country. I sent them an e-mail to see what they are smokin'. I'll let you know if I hear back.

Sponge, let us know what comes about with the shipping. Im a ups driver, a business could next day air them usually across the country for less than ten dollars.

I thought they looked good too and started a very small order but when I got to the shipping I said to myself forget this!

I e-mailed Fisher;s Adv. about the high shipping costs.They are looking into other ways to ship @ a more realistic price.To contact [email protected]

Looks to me like Lakeland Tackle, MFG of spoon blanks, is setting up shop as a finished spoon company. They have so many spoon blanks it will make your head spin.

My wife sells stuff on ebay and the small flat rate shipping box (mind the post office gives you the box for free) is $4.80 for up to 4 lbs. So my calculations for the shipping prices you should be able to get 256 1/4oz spoons . Heck, they should advertise free spoons just pay $10 shipping and handling...

I wrote them a letter with our concerns and gave them a link to this site and post so that they can see what there company could be missing out on if they don't come up with a better shipping option as far as rates go.

They must have addressed the issue. As of now I can get up to 7 spoons for $4.95 shipping. Then it jumps to $7.50. If they fixed this in two weeks they are probably a good company to deal with.

FYI - I also received an e-mail from Janine letting me know that they lowered their shipping rates. I purchased 6 Diamond Thunder spoons (size 1) and shipping was $4.95. I give these guys (and gals) a little credit for listening and making a change. What will be even more interesting is if these catch as many fish as fishermen!
