Lake ontario Brighton to Porthope

Recommended Posts

I would love to see more fishing reports from this area. Last year there were few and they were very far between. I am heading out the second my boat hits the water... Post to here if you have any hits, tips, or any boated in the area...

I fished out of Brighton last year and did OK for the first year of trolling. I was always about 10miles out to get any salmon. I would pick up one or two a day with one day that was on fire with about 12 in 4 hours! I only used riggers and spin doctors, this year I have a few new rigs to try (wire dipsy, etc).

I fished port hope last year June ,July and did very well. We would fish in 100 ft in the morning and move out 15 miles at about 10am . For the most part  we would get 10 plus per day. This year I have been out twice with little to no success. 1 salmon and two rainbow .I will be going out next weekend and will post my results. Good luck and don't forget a bad day of fishing is better that a good day at work.
