Battery questions?

What do you guys recommend for a deep cycle battery. I have a 50lb thrust Minn Kota I would like to use on my boat that I bought. Thanks for looking.

Biggest you can get & get a good marine charger. I bought my battery at walmart. It is the biggest best Marine they had ,was about 80 bucks. Also got a marine charger for another 50 . Have had no probs with either. I know there are better batteries out there but has done me fine. I have about the same thrust on a small alum bass boat. Get seperate bat for the motor & elec so your safe.

Make sure the battery you buy matches what your electric motor needs. Undersized batterys will die early in your day.

I've had very good luck with Interstate's SRM 29. I use them on my Torqeedo motors and it will work very well with your Minn Kota.

I got an Interstate series 27 for my 50lb thrust Minn Kota.

Works great.

Still need to install a battery holder and strap under the front deck with a plug but I'm to busy fishing right now. Probably over the winter.
