As we get our sea duck killin in I thought I would share this brant I just finished for a client. It was the smallest brant I've ever seen but he presents himself pretty well in this piece.

It appears their is a excisive seperation under the wing with some of the feathers but pretty good for your first one

Nice.....like the scene....shot some of those this year. Kinda dumb. We decoyed a flock, dropped some and the rest came back for another go round....ad far as birds, they aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer

"excisive separation" is the phenomenon from which the hair leaves Rays head and reappears on his back IMHO

yes pete got it right,,i was looking under my arm with a handheld mirror at my back....ok knowing Paul does a 100% job ok110% on his mounts i kinda toss in a little "huh" factor ...kinda my way of saying awsome mount...I know enuf about ducks and mounting them that would fill a thimble (my total brain size) , ive wacked a few and cleaned one or two and cant imagine the care it takes to skin ,prep,and reassemble a pile of feathers to achive such a lifelike and perfect mount.

I shot one a couple years ago in Braddocks and kick myself for not mounting it. Like Matt said, they are not that smart. Nice job Paul
