Sandy pond ice conditions

I was planning on fishing sandy pond this saturday and was wondering if anyone knew what kind of condition the ice was in after all the snow we have had. The last I had heard last week it was 3 to 5 inches thick but that was before the warm weather and the snow.

Was there last Wednesday and there was 5"of black and 3" of crappy snow ice. The warm temps and rain helped melt the junk off the top and is in good shape now. Wheelers were just about everywhere when we were there.
