Niagara River

I fished the Niagara River in the Roger Tobey Memorial Steelhead contest yesterday. We took some very nice steelhead and a few great browns just not the one we were looking for. Our best fish was around 10 1/2 pounds and we needed 11 to break into the money. A great day on the river though!

Great fish Paul ! How was the ice?Hoping to make it this week.Thanks for sharing ,they look like winners to me.

The ice was "manageable" Sean but you had to be careful. As the day warmed there were big chunks of SOLID ice breaking free and floating downriver. Some were real boat breakers. Fishing was no problem though you just fish around the icebergs---typical Feb stuff.
