I see the erie canal coming through north tonawanda is almost completely free of ice so is ellicott creek. How much longer for chataqua? At this rate i dont think it will be long i wanted to get 1 more trip out of this season but wont be able to get out untill next weekend.

watch the ice now... can fool you..

most lake/trib ice should be considered unsafe now..

that is until you watch someone else walk out first..

then you may consider it safe..

There is lots of ice fishing left. The cold is gonna lock it up. Just watch and use your head. I fished tonight in this wind on long pond and the first 5-10 feet from shore was soft but lots of good ice still.
