Chaumont Bay

Fished Chaumont yesterday afternoon and caught about a third of a pail of decent perch. The water was a little milky from run off. Had to weed through smaller ones but not a bad afternoon. The ice was really popping and cracking as it heated up but there was plenty of ice (snowmobiles and 4 wheelers on the ice). This warm rain and wind could change things in a hurry. I'd definitely be careful near the shorelines as they are always the first to go. Seems like every year at this time someone drops a 4 wheeler through.

There wasn't any on Wednesday but I'm sure there is some today. Otter Creek appeared to be breaking up somewhat this afternoon. Things will change rapidly with this warmer weather. With luck will have a boat in somewhere soon.

i agree. i have a new outboard being put on next week. Cant wait for the spring browns!
