St. Lawrence Pike early may

Recommended Posts

Starting to make arrangements for our early may fishing trip to the 1000 islands. Looking for some suggestions. Taking my 8 and 5 year olds this year and rather then spend all day unsnagging lures id like to spend some time with minnows or jigging. Can anybody help me out with locations and types of jigs?

We always go to Angel Rock cottages every year in Early June and just light up the Northern Pike On Carleton Island....in between the Island and Angel Rock cottages....Look for the dropoff to 17 feet, goes from like 9 to 17 ft quick....Right there run that entire stretch back and forth....They are there.

I might give this a try this year. We'll be up at Fisher's Landing the week of June 18th.
