Looking to maybe add an autopilot to my boat. Looking for a reasnable priced unit that with either interface the gps fishfinder or just track a straght line

I just bought a sport pilot from boatdeals.com for 1600.00 and can't wait to try it.

This mounts on stearing wheel and from what raymarine tech. told me that these units were pulled from market lasy year after some issues and redone.

Look into the Simrad AP-14 I currently run this unit after having the Raymarine Sportpilot. I think I like the Simrad better -- it is quieter. I did enjoy the wireless remote that I had for the Raymarine -- If they worked out the bugs it may be ok.

The Simrad links with the GPS very easily. It does have some problem keeping course in high winds and slow speed conditions (like spring trolling and Lake Trout trolling) Other than that it is great. I use it on a 29' single inboard.
