Probably not good when ur antenna a rod start crackling.

Recommended Posts

Probably shouldnt have gone out so soon after a storm passed over sandy creek this morning. My antenna and rods started crackling, we immediately dropped the antenna and laid the nets down. Anyone else out in front of Sandy creek have this happen this morning. Think we dodged a very "enlightning" experience.

When the air is ionized, like antenna crackling or graphite pole shocks, you are ready for a lightning strike which is a "not good thing", Get out of there fast. Really you should have left when you hear or see the lightning coming. Most lightning situations are over in less than half an hour unless you are in a tropical storm situation.
