Copper Set up

Recommended Posts

45lb copper is 22 ft of depth for every 100 ft of copper at a 2.2mph so 300 copper is 66 ft down 400 is 88 and 450 is about 110 on estimate give or take. Pulling flashers and paddles you'll loose some of that depth due to the drag. If your running one copper just run it down the chute, let it out slow on clicker and thumbing it out till it will pull out by itself which will take anywhere from 50-100 ft depending on your speed and what you towing. Let it out while the boat is straight and bring it in while the boat is straight. You'll tangle it up with something eventually and it will suck, we all do it...at least most of us.
